Embark on this unforgettable journey and discover the bustling old souks of Marrakech, wander the labyrinth that is Fez, travel through the astonishing Atlas Mountains and contrast Tangiers’ glittering sea with the drifting sands of the Sahara.
This immersive Morocco tour includes all the highlights plus some of the lesser-known gems like the palm studded Draa Valley and the ancient seaside town of Essaouira.

DAY 1: CASABLANCA
Arrive at Casablanca Airport and transfer to your hotel | Settle in and meet up with your group in the evening.

DAY 2: CASABLANCA, RABAT AND TANGIER
Visit the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca | Stop at the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah des Oudaias | Arrive in Tangiers, on the Straight of Gibraltar. (B)
La Tangerina Hotel (or similar) – Located in the heart of the Kasbah on the highest point of the Medina of Tangier, this lovingly restored hotel has views across the Strait of Gibraltar. It is within walking distance to the souk and the seafront.
DAY 3: TANGIER
Travel to view the Caves of Hercules | Discover the artefacts collection at the Kasbah Museum and be guided through the medina | Free time to wander the city’s array of wonderful shops and cafes. (B)

DAYS 4 & 5: CHEFCHAUOEN
Drive to the quaint village of Chefchauoen, known for its stunning, blue-washed houses. Settle in for 2 nights | Explore the village | Take photographs | Hike the surrounding hills | Relax, immersed in the magic that is Morocco. (2B)
Dar Ech Chaouen (or similar) – This charming 4 star Moroccan style hotel overlooks the village. It has a swimming pool, an excellent restaurant and gorgeous gardens. Every room is beautifully appointed.
DAY 6: VOLUBILIS, MOULAY IDRISS AND MEKNES
Continue southward and explore the Roman city of Volubilis | Stop for coffee at the holy city of Moulay Idriss | In Meknes be guided through the great storerooms of Moulay Ismail, the Dar Jamai Museum and the Bou Inania Madrasa. (B)

DAY 7: SEFROU AND FES
Call in to the virtually untouched town of Sefrou and be guided through its ancient medina and Jewish Quarter | Arrive in Fes and settle in to the traditional riad, home for two nights | Later, delve into the old city and see Funduk Nejjarine, an historic caravanserai and now historic museum located in the heart of the medina. (B)
Riad Algila (or similar) – Step back in time and enjoy this beautifully restored 18th century riad. With its 3 interior courtyards, spacious rooftop terrace and views to the old city, it will make for an unforgettable stay.
DAY 8: FES
Admire the local artisans creating intricate Zellij tile mosaics | Soak up one of Morocco’s most memorable sights: the celebrated Tanneries and coppersmith’s souk of Fes | Enjoy a free afternoon to wander, to shop, and maybe enjoy a hammam. (B)

DAY 9: ZOUALA
A long day’s drive south across the High Atlas to Er Rachida and onto Zouala | Take a break in the pretty mountain resort town of Ifran| Stay tonight in a family-run auberge in the spectacular Ziz Valley. (BD)

DAY 10: MERZOUGA AND THE SAHARA
Having discovered Zouala and its ancient palmery explore the very old and crumbling Ksar Maadid, noted for its architecture and historical importance | Visit the frontier-like market town of Rissani | Arrive in Merzouga. Take a sunset camel ride over the Saharan dunes. (BD)

DAY 11: JEBEL OUGNAT AND N’KOB
Take a rarely travelled route through the spectacular region of the Jebel Ougnat, an extension of the Anti-Atlas | Be guided through the village and palmery of N’Kob before settling in around the hotel pool. (BD)

DAY 12: TAMNOUGALT, OUARZAZATE AND TAMDAKHT
Journey through the lush Draa Valley | Discover the 16th century ksar at Tamnougalt | Drive on to the village of Tamdakht | Check in to the fabulous kasbah-style hotel for the next 2 nights. (BD)

DAY 13: AIT BENHADDOU AND TAMDAKHT
This morning visit the nearby World Heritage listed Ait Benhaddou. Feel a part of some ancient world – or in a blockbuster movie – at this staggeringly beautiful site | Return to Tamdakht to relax, take photos or swim in this magical setting. (BD)

DAY 14: ESSAOUIRA
Travel is long today, over the High Atlas Mountains. Drive to Telouet and view the Kasbah of Glaoui | Cross over the Tizi ‘n Tkchha pass at 2260m, to the charming coastal town of Essaouira | Enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the many seafood restaurants (B)
Palais des Remparts Hotel (or similar) – The Palais Des Remparts is located in the heart of the medina only three minutes walk from the sea. Dating from the 18th century, this now stylish hotel serves traditional Moroccan cuisine. The spacious rooms are decorated with warm wooden furnishings.
DAY 15: ESSAOUIRA
Be guided around the old walled medina | Free time to explore the town | Retire to the hotel in the heart of the old medina and enjoy a hammam or spa treatment. (B)

DAY 16: MARRAKECH
After breakfast drive to Marrakech | The afternoon is at leisure –immerse yourself in the celebrated Jemaa el Fna square and its nearby souks | An optional Moroccan cookery class can be arranged for those interested. (B)

DAY 17: MARRAKECH
Enjoy a half day walking tour of Marrakech | Visit the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace | Be inspired at the superb Photographic Museum | This afternoon, search and haggle for the last of your Moroccan souviners. (B)

DAY 18: MARRAKECH
